1. The Jaunting Car
The traditional Irish jaunting car is closely associated with Killarney and Killarney National Park. For generations, these horse-drawn carriages have carried visitors through the beautiful lakes, mountains and historic estates surrounding the town.

2. King Puck

4. The Beehive Huts
The ancient stone beehive huts found around the Iveragh Peninsula are reminders of Ireland’s early Christian heritage. These simple circular shelters were constructed from carefully placed stone and provided protection from the severe Atlantic weather.
The beehive hut symbol represents faith, endurance and the extraordinary skill of the people who built these structures centuries ago.
5. Skellig Michael
Skellig Michael rises dramatically from the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of County Kerry. Early Christian monks established a remote monastery on the island, where the remains of their stone cells and places of worship can still be seen.
Now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Skellig Michael represents spirituality, courage and one of the most remarkable historic locations in Ireland.
6. Charlie Chaplin
Charlie Chaplin first visited Waterville with his family in 1959 and returned for holidays over many years. He developed a lasting affection for the village and the people who lived there.
His connection with Waterville is remembered by a bronze statue overlooking the seafront. The Charlie Chaplin symbol celebrates friendship, laughter and happy memories of time spent in Kerry.
7. St Mary’s Cathedral
St Mary’s Cathedral is one of Killarney’s most recognisable buildings. Its striking Gothic Revival architecture and impressive setting make it a memorable landmark for visitors to the town.
The cathedral completes our symbolic journey around the Ring of Kerry and represents the region’s religious, architectural and cultural heritage.
